Silent Strength
Last Sunday I experienced one of the most powerful talks during Sacrament. It was given by a young man who I had heard about, but never spoken to. I quiet, humble man, husband, father. I havent been the same since hearing his talk, its been going through my mind all week. So finally I decided I needed to share it. He spoke on a personal trial of losing his 1 year old baby girl about 2 years ago. It was the first talk he has given in over 2 years, so it was a very emotional and powerful one. He spoke of courage, faith, charity, eternity, all based around losing his precious child. He spoke about how strong his wife was through the whole ordeal, never complaining once. There wasnt a dry eye in the house, you looked around the room and every female had red eyes and wet noses like me. It made me reflect on my life, and everything I complain about, which ends up being so trivial. Heres a family that has carried this trial with them for 2 years now and you would never know. You see them and think, "what a happy family." We all have trials in our lives, I know I have had my fair share of them. I just hope I can be more like this family, have that silent strength, with a testimony so strong that it will carry you through any storm.

Those kind of people are truly inspiring. And what we need to carry on!
those stories are all around us.
and humbling.
