29 That ye abstain from meats offered to a idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.
Still dont see where it says to not do blood transfusions....

Studied the Old Testament last year in seminary, and learned a lot more about 'clean' and 'unclean' beasts (meats) and this is the origin of the meaning in the verse you're referring to--it's easy to see how people can take things out of context, or misinterpret the scriptures. Call me and we can talk in more detail than this post will allow... it's good to study the scriptures!
